Couple of days ago I said I was struggling with deciding what to do with this set of pictures because I was having a hard time with the colour balance. I listened to you guys and the community has decided they want to see both the coloured and black and white versions.

I'm posting these pictures first in black and white, and try to get the coloured versions done when I learn how to deal with Lightroom. Today is the first day I'm trying Lightroom and at the moment I'm very very lost with it. I know it can do a lot for me, I just have to learn how to work the damn thing.

I don't want to rush the colours versions and put together something half assed. So it might take quite a while until you get to see what I got.

I have a huge pot of dark roast coffee brewing and I'm gonna dedicate the evening to learning how to use Lightroom. And maybe do a little Steeming and chatting, like always.

You are beautiful and mysterious in a black and white context.

More than a good photo, what I see in these pictures is a strong independent woman with sense of style and class. You're one definition of "beauty". I hope to see more of your photos soon @eveuncovered :)

@eveuncovered I checked these your images over and over again to get an idea of its essence. I see a strong woman with an aspect of vitality, serenity, and class.

She seems at peace with the universe. And inside her mind is calmness.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what i could see.

I felt the same.
Also i would suggest @eveuncovered could play with shadow and highlights a little bit.

For the first time I see a good photo together with quality text! Good blog / photo! (as you prefer).
For now, I create blogs about my life and share early photos. But in plans like you have a photo shoot specially for Steemit.

Such amazing tasteful photos! Thank you for sharing.

I've heard so many good things about Lightroom... I think I opened it once, felt totally lost, got frustrated, and never opened it again. 😅 I really ought to give it another try... on a day when I have a little more patience. lol I hope you get it figured out before too long - I'd love to see the comparison of the b&w to color. That said, your b&w photos are always stunning. Do you do a lot of editing to achieve your aesthetic, or do you just do a bit of tweaking (brightness/contrast)?

HAha, sounds like the day I'm having over here😅 But I'm sure I can get the hang of it at some point.

My mentality with photos is that I want to get the picture as good as I can straight from the camera and then just do little tweaks☺️

That is typically how I've approached photos in the past, but then I see all these photographers doing crazy amounts of edits, and I feel like maybe I'm missing something. (haha Damn FOMO.)

Maybe we should try looking on YouTube or somewhere for tutorials?

I watched this video and learned A LOT! Now I have some clue what you can do in Lightroom, and I think I'm gonna like it when I learn more.

I think I'll probably follow you !

I have used Lightroom couple of times and I felt like it was too simple. I like using Photoshop because I can change anything I want from the picture. You'll get used to whatever program you use once you practice :)

Interesting! I used to use Photoshop, quite a while ago, so when I opened Lightroom I really had no clue what I was even looking for. lol Practice is definitely the only way to get comfortable with any program though, you're right.

Simple, no way 😂 But maybe we do quite different things, my main focus is enhancing what already is there.

I mean that there wasn't enough settings and things I could change in Lightroom. The way how the program worked in itself is a bit confusing though. I like focusing on one picture at a time which is why I prefer Photoshop :)

I think there is too much stuff that is distracting and annoying, have to keep pushing back all the adjustment and things I don't need at that moment. I always do a set of pictures that need to match each other, so that is where Lightroom could be better for me. I struggle with colours in the self portrait work, so that is my main focus on trying to learn Lightroom.

You look so natural and casual in your photos, it's easy to forget how much time and technical expertise goes into them.

Have fun learning your new toy!

Yeah, just casually hanging out 😝 Don't know about the expertise but a lot of time, trial and error.

You are a pretty awesome chick! I just read a couple of your blogs. The first one I read was in reference to you becoming a full time Steemian. I have decided to follow you. Your intellect, and blog organization make you an attractive individual to follow, both figuratively, and literally. Excellent post. I love the photographs.

Awww, thank you so much for such a nice and ORIGINAL comments, always a pleasure when someone takes time out of their day to comment something other than "nice.thanks for sharing.follow me". And it never hurts to get genuine compliments.😏

Have a great day!

Absolutely! I look forward to your future posts @eveuncovered. You have a great day as well! 😉

There is definitely a style to your photographs, especially your self-portraits. They are soft and inviting with well cast shadows that are more like invitations to the viewer. When I see your portraits there is a sense of an earlier era, maybe 20's or 30's or 40's. It may be that the pictures are classy. It may be your sense of fashion or style. Whatever it is, it comes across as natural. It is an exciting prospect to see what you begin creating with your new software.
Keep up the great work. Your blog is one of the reasons I come back to Steem.

I always draw inspiration from those earlier, in my opinion, more beautiful times. I grew up in a house with some antique items from late 19th century and those have always inspired me. Dark wood, velvet, leather, mirrors, candles, old books, carefully curated items and signs of lives lived way before me. Of course there are also the old Hollywood movie stars that inspire my looks. If I need to dress up for some occasion and wear a modern dress, I feel like a fraud, but when I put on something that draws inspiration from old Hollywood, I feel right at home.

I hope I can keep you coming back and entertained :) Thanks for stopping by.

you are looking gorgeous
and the LIghtroom is Just WOwww and

happy Valentine's day:)

what was your best date so far?:P

Happy Valentine's Day to you too ☺️

Lol. I've never had a date on Valentine's Day 😅

You are hot in black and white. Maybe it's a shows you as in a timeless-classic lady. Either way, I like these.

I wish I were Black and White in real life too 😝

Check out Matt Kloskowski he’s on YouTube or has his own website can’t remember. He teaches the in and outs of lightroom. Photos look great but if your heels have red underneath them maybe you should show that on the pics. That’s my opinion but I’m no expert :D

Time to rest...., home is rest place

Very nice your post
I love you and amazing

You look like you belong there x) Lookin' fine!

I do like this setting, need a home like this!

Sitten kun oon rikas, niin voin tarjota miljöön. Tai siis kun sinä oot rikas digitaalirahan omistaja :P

Hahaha, kuinka jalomielistä :D

Nice photo.. at first glance, your eyes are same with Natalie Dormer.. btw I do love the photos in black and white.. it really shows the emotion and elegance

I do not mind that comparison at all, even though we look nothing alike 😁 I'm glad you like the B&W, I tend to lean on it quite a lot, but want to learn how to do better photos in colour too☺️

That would be lovely. Black and white vs. colored photo. I would love to see that. I will definitely wait for that. Best of luck on your study on Lightworks

Fantastic set of photos! I like the first two images the most due to your pose. Have a great day and stay warm!

thank you☺️ You have no idea how mad I'm at myself for framing the second picture so that the toes are cut off😩

Ps. Just checked your photos, beautiful work! I see you have a thing for bikers 😁

You are very welcome! To be honest I did not really notice the cutoff toes. I was focused on the top right of the frame. That would be expected as it's the brightest point of the image and the highlight of the beauty contained in it as well. So yeah, I have a thing for bikes. Thank you so much for checking them out! Have a great day until next time. :-D

Haha, shouldn't have mentioned it :D I'm a bit of a perfectionist that thing like that bother me and I almost didn't post the picture because of it.

Oh nooo!!!! I am glad you did post the image! Perfection is not joy! Don't forget you put a smile on peoples faces when they see you. :D

Pics are all good cause your beautiful dawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww but I bet you get that a lot anyway.

Yeah I hear that from time to time, so boring, hope people would say something else for once 😩 JK

okay you look like crap LOL joking.

but seriously, nice pics. and good writeups.

Nice...

images that remind us of a golden age, the years of my grandparents, the photos without so much color and without much brightness, are simply spectacular, I love the times of my past antecedents, and these photos illustrate those moments,

good

Very good BW pictures. If you like them too, so don't need to make the colored version ;).

btw - Lightroom is very handful and helpful tool - worth spending time to learn it ;)

Very nic post.

This one to me is just the best i have not really seen the colured yet but already in love with this image( we dont really understand the power of black and white images) but love this shot

Beutifull girl...

Let me know if you need any help with lightroom glad to help if you need any!

Thanks, I might have some questions at some point :D

@eveuncovered Absolutely love these photographs, the rawness and simplicity make you go back to a time where you could jam some Sinatra on the late night radio. Hope to see more of this project!

That is exactly what I was going for ☺️☺️ I love this style but it takes a lot of preparation and I have to have a right set so it's not that often I get to do it.

Très jolie photo.
Very nice pictures.

Vous maîtrisez le noir et blanc à la perfection : les ombres sont toujours équilibrées par rapport au blanc.

Merci beaucoup☺️

Two words in french, yes !!

The French community is small but talented.

Haha, I wish I knew more than two words 😁

Im soo glad I found your blog! I just recently got a Cannon Rebel T6 and im not really sure what to take pictures of other than my sleeping cat lol! Maybe my beautiful girlfriend will let me take pictures of her!

I should be careful on what i'm getting myself into!

Anything else but cat pictures, please!

But cats are soo cute!

Hi Eveuncovered. I use pixelmator for the mac, which i find very easy to do jobs quickly, but they don't edit RAW, though I've not touched raw files in a long time. just haven't needed to for basic snapping. pixelmator pro is meant to let users do RAW, think its about 50, plus extra stuff they've added. " yet to fully read up on"

Awesome work. Beautiful model with an awesome body. I would love to see more of these. Keep on !

Super classy style!

Thanks!

Beautiful, looking forward to the coloured versions 😉

For me, this is beautiful.
Love the pics

Beautiful person with a awesome photography art
Will make the eyes of anyone being surprised to see it

Stunning. You've caught the light perfectly. Something more sexy about it being in someone else house :) 💯🐒

Thank you 🐒 It's sexy because the house is way more beautiful than my own little apartment 😁

haha! It looks very sophisticated, not saying your others don't but you know what I meant ;p 💯🐒

excelentes fotos amiga!

Beautiful photos! And I love using Lightroom on my photos too!

Love the vibe these pictures give off. Very classy!

You are so gorgeous!

The black and white came out really good (as expected). Great shoes by the way 😊

Curious what you will do with the colors...

Thank you love :) I started working on the coloured versions yesterday and actually though of you while I was trying to get all the colours to show up rich and vibrant. Can't wait to get them done and show everyone :)

As stated in the last post, I think the sofa pose is way better with a colorful photo. The contrast makes it look sexier (IMHO)

You'll see that at some point :)

Great pictures, especially in black & white

In my personal opinion the most important... more important even than what we thjnk is what you feel when you are capturing and editing the photos. You wont be able to make everyone happy all the time. Photography is your art so no matter what I think instead of thinking what people are expecting from you. You should just let your heart choose what you will be sharing here with us... no matter if it is bw or colours. That is just my personal opinion.

People don't seem to get the difference between asking an opinion and letting it dictate what I do. But I'm creating content for your eyes, not just for my own enjoyment, so I'm always interested to hear what you wished I'd show you.

I'm not the kind of girl who tries to make everyone like me, if it seems like that, I need to be an even bigger bitch than I already am.

I was just sharing my opinion as You asked. And what I wanted to say is that no matter if I like some of your works more than others you shouldn't always make a decision on what to share and create based on our opinion and taste but mainly on your passion.

Sorry if I came across too harsh and judgmental... because that was not the place where my comment came from....
