I Wanna See Your Peacock cock cock!

Was gonna save these for little later when I first post some other pictures from the Kew Gardens in London, but you know, felt like posting these first.

So you know, long story short, Kew Gardens has "wild" peacocks strutting around the park!! I didn't know it before I went there. I had been in the park for a good hour already, walking around with my camera, admiring all the trees and plants around. Suddenly I saw this near mythical creature in front of me! I was so excited, you have no idea. I didn't even have time to get over the first one when another appeared on sight, I felt so lucky! They were very proud looking, knew they were safe among the people and they clearly knew they are fucking magnificent and nobody is aloud to touch them!

I've never seen anything so enchanting and beautiful in my life, truly a miracle created by nature. Fuck unicorns, peacocks are the shit! This is as fantastic as an animal can possibly get, and I don't need anything else. All I could have hoped for is that they would spread their tail feathers, but I'm fine with this show too. Blue is my favourite colour, and those green and turquoise shades are just insanely beautiful in real life, how can something like that exist?

I think I spend a good half an hour just walking close to one of the peacocks and taking a few pictures. At one point I was doing my gremlin pose, and the peacock walked closer to me, only a meter away and posed so I could get a good shot. That is the second picture here.

I don't know what else to say, just look at the peacocks, they are so incredibly beautiful!!

Shot with the Nikon D7200 and Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8.

I wasn't the only one trying to get close to the birds with my camera.

Nice photos.. nice "Blue's"

You should go and see these creatures at Spring, it is more interesting then. By the way, nice title :))

Oh and how are you, Eve? Everything good?

Do they have bigger feathers then or what? I'm not very familiar with them.

I'm going good, exciting things ahead, thanks for asking! And how are you Andrew? :)

At spring they are using them to attract females, dancing and all the rest :)

I am fine, I am doing great at work, pretty good with all the rest, and I am becoming better with each week that it's passing.

I remember that these days I saw you in your London office. You seem to be living a high life, lady!

I call your cock, and I'll raze you one proud cock from Macedonia

It's beautiful 😭

Oh come on you can't leave me such an opening. How can I reapond with anything but

I knew you'd like my... 🤗

I'm enamored with them too. It is hard not to be. I didn't realize they sound similar to a woman screaming until I was visiting a very peaceful graveyard across the river from where a bunch of peacocks are kept. They provided a very eerie ambiance for my graveyard visit.

Damn you, now a part of the allure of such magnificent animals was ruined for me, I would hate those sounds! Must have been a pretty interesting graveyard visit, imagine it would be pretty scary if it happened at night time.

I keep ruining things for you lately :)

I think their weird sound is kind of cool. But I also like hearing my rooster crow, so I'm weird.

You are definitely weird, but I like weird! 🤗

When I was a kid we had neighbors with Peacocks. Twice. The first time I heard them, I thought it was a cat being tortured. I think it took several weeks before I realized what was going on. The second time didn't take as long, but it was still confusing until we figured out it was Peacocks again.

Beautiful birds, horrifying call.

It took me a while in that graveyard to figure out what it was, and I'm an adult :) A tortured cat is a good description.

they are pretty incredible, I have thought about picking a few up, when I get a bigger spread I probably will.

Oooh, that sounds so awesome! 😱

Internet is full of men who would like to show you their "pea" cocks.

I'm sure it is! But they are never as pretty as these birds!

That is cool! Though I don't recognise myself from this 😬

Ok!
I will try again^^haha

There have been celebrity caricatures I've looked at and thought "who is that supposed to be?" Then the person standing next to me said, "Oh, it's Sylvester Stallone."
I then thought, "How could I not see it's Stallone?" or "How is that supposed to be Stallone."
Then the person on my other side says, "no it's not. It's Springsteen."

I've noticed with caricatures (like anything really), we see features differently. Sometimes it's because different cultures and races see features differently. Sometimes it's just because each individual uses different markers for recognition. So for one person this image could be spot on, while for others it's not at all accurate.

Just some food for thought.

I dig your work, by the way, skyleap. Following now.

Edit: Not sure how this ended up as a reply here, I clicked to reply to eveuncovered below. Oh, well.

Peacocks are such an interesting bird. Such nice patterns. Havent seen in California.

Peacocks are beautiful animals ... here near where I live, there are two.
When they are angry or when they are courting they show the feathers and you understand that they are the coolest!

Peahens are beautiful also but get way less attention. All peafowl make great 'watch dogs' as well but they sure are noisy! Anyway Great Post and Nice Pictures!

What can I say, people like pretty things!

Indeed they do!
