A true weed

Some weeds have such lovely flowers that I took some and planted it in a pot. Yes.. no kidding!
This is one of them that I took few years ago and it grows happily ever since.

Onionweed or Asphodelus is a very invasive plant and hard to get rid of once you get it in the lawn. That is what I herd. I don't have a loan, so can't tell. But it does produces lots and lots of seeds that will grow to new plants. It is also very hardy and can stand heat and dry weather. I don't actually see it much right now as it gets very dry. It simply goes dormant only to start growing in winter and in early spring produce hundreds of those pretty white flowers.

The difference in my pot is, that I water it and so I see the flowers pop constantly since spring. Less now since it is not it's time really. But they do bloom. In spring it is a nice show though. I also see it sprouting in pots around so yea.. terrible weed :)

The photos here are of a wild growing plant. And it is one of the smaller varieties with leaves like chives. Some grow as tall as a human with huge, thick leaves (photo below) and clusters of flowers on the long stem.
