BeachWednesday on Sunday

We took a trip to our most favourite beach on Sunday. Not the best choice of days since all the families had the same idea, but the weather was just perfect. Not too windy and not too hot.

Lagoa de Albufeira is a spot where ocean enters the land and creates a big and shallow lagoon. Of course I forgot to shoot that part, but you can google it if you are curious. It is a perfect spot for hids to play safely in water. It is warm and not very deep. Like a huge bathtub :)
You can also watch little crabs and fish running away from under your feet.

I was amazed by the Ocean though (as always) and the shallow, fast flowing water. It was the low tide and we could easily cross the river to the other side. On the high tide it is impossible. The current is so strong and violent that it would drag us all to the ocean. At this time people were just having fun and some kids were using it almost like a slide. The current would slowly push them until they get stuck on the sand.
