Garden money bush

A simple plant with a funny name. In Polish we call it "Judas silver coins" :). Funny that the English name has the opposite feel - Annual honesty.

It is definitely easy to remember the name looking at the seed pods. They are beautiful silvery and round. In that white papery sheets are hidden lack seeds. No on photos anymore. I shot those last winter. The inside is already all ripped and seeds fell to the soil. They will sprout in spring and the cycle of fake money growing begins :)

The plant is one of butterflies favourites when in bloom. Later when those pods are maturing and start to look like coins, they can be used in dry flower bouquets. Just have to be very careful as they get easily damages. Super delicate!
