Lichens are aliens

Can you imagine Earth being invaded by those little aliens? They adapted to live everywhere..
They will get stuck on a tree or a rock and will not move when people are looking. They will stay still and watch.
But as soon as you turn around all those little tentacles will start waving and stretching trying to catch some flies or even birds to eat.
Just like the sea cousins....

And to be just a tiny little bit more serious - those I saw growing on a quite smooth tree bark. I am not quite sure if those little brown and black dots is another type of lichens, or the same one but in different stage. The whole tree stump was covered on those and the flat grey ones.

Now that the rain finally came we can go shoot something. In few days I hope the dried up mosses, lichens and grasses should look more than just a pile of hay and sticks.
