One could think that way looking at the first photo. Sorry to disappoint you. I do not own a river (yet..). It just a very small ditch at the border of our orchard and field. It is way lower than the road nearby and in spring it is always filled with water. I couldn't resist taking some simple shot when the sun came out and started to reflect in the murky water.
There are always those cool grasses growing there, but also small marsh marigold that just started to bloom. Later they will form big slumps full of yellow flowers.
