Kousa dogwood Flower

in photography •  last year

Assalamualaikum.Welcome to my photography blog.I have shared some photos of a Kousa dogwood flower. The Kousa dogwood flower scientifically known as Cornus kousa is a native of East Asia and a close relative of the more familiar flowering dogwood. The Kousa dogwood is a deciduous tree that blooms in late spring or early summer, producing a magnificent display of blossoms that is truly a sight to behold. The flowers of the Kousa dogwood are small and intricately designed. Each flower consists of four pointed,creamy-white bracts arranged in a star-like pattern. The bracts surround a cluster of tiny,greenish-yellow true flowers at the center. This unique arrangement creates a visually stunning effect, giving the impression of a delicate starburst floating amidst the trees lush green foliage.Kousa dogwood trees typically grow to a height of 20 to 30 feet, forming a rounded or vase-shaped crown.
