I recently took the kayak up to Lake Merwin in Washington to do some exploring with a friend and my Yorkie.
The Lake did not disappoint, as it was very beautiful in a unique way. It is crystal clear enabling you to see all the way to the bottom. Tree stumps can be seen in some places sticking up in the middle of the lake as well as just below the surface.
Along the shore there are tree stumps everywhere but what makes it unique is the water level has fell a few feet exposing the roots. This has given the stumps the look of "being alive!" They look as if they have legs and are running into the water! Super cool, I definitely recommend checking it out!
And to end the day, a gorgeous sunset.
Hint: there is a great dispersed camping location along the gravel road that follows the South Park of the Lake.
