Farming in America-Part 4-Soybeans

in photography •  8 years ago

The Golden Bean

One of few plants that provides a complete protein
Lots of soy milk, tofu and crayons to be made here

Beautiful haze this morning over soybean field

Beans are not the best backdrop for photos but I still make the family stop and snag a pic of our crops
This one is from last year

Beans are not ready to harvest yet so I have included pics from last year

if you are ever traveling back roads and come across a farmer, be courteous please

Our farms are not all one big piece of land. So, roads have to be crossed to move equipment. I usually get to be the lead or follow car in these instances.

As always photos are my own and taken with I phone 6+ or Cannon T1i

Thanks so much. the haze was mixed with smoke off the tobacco barn

My late grandfather's brother grows soybeans, right outside of Panama, FL.
Soybeans and hogs.

This brings back memories. My grandfather was a soybean farmer.

That's great! I hope my kids have good memories of us farming.
