You probably all know the movie "Ratatouille" where a small rat cooks delicious food. This post is about the meal that the rat cooked at the very end to surprise the reviewer.
The recipe is based on this post: Ratatouille Gratin (it's in german).
Ingredients
- Onions
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Tomato paste
- Salt & Pepper
- Sugar
- Fresh Tomatoes
- Zucchini
- Eggplant (Aubergine)
- Mozzarella / Parmesan
Steps
- Make the sauce: Chop garlic and onions, heat, and add tomato paste, salt, pepper and some sugar. This is your foundation. Then put it evenly inside a casserole.
- Chop fresh tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini in slices. Then layer the slices as seen in the picture, add some olive oil on top. Cover the casserole with aluminium foil.
- Put it in the preheated oven at 200° for 60 minutes. Then uncover the casserole and put it back for 15 more minutes.
