Steemit for photography beginners, a powerful tool?

in photography •  6 years ago

Dear Steemians,

I wrote this article as a beginner in photography, with limited skills with my camera (Nikon D3400 with only one lens for the moment 18-55 mm), and with one best friend that I try to abandon the automatic mode…
Throughout this article, I will list you all the advantages I found of using Steemit for similar profile persons as me.

  1. Steemit, an interactive media
By providing similar services as traditional social media, with comments and follow, Steemit allow users to generate feedbacks and share their opinion on several topics. For a photographer, having feedbacks is crucial to improve himself and his content quality. In addition the interaction with professional photographer allow to discover new styles and learn new technics.

  2. Steemit, a visibility provider
With a worldwide audience, and a system based on the block chain technology, this media allow to reach a large audience with our publications. Nothing different from traditional media except the block chain? You’re right but only for the moment, because the next part will change your way of thinking.

  3. Steemit, a way of remuneration
Despite a large audience reaching, traditional media don’t allow to earn money from our content creation. It’s even the opposite, we have to spend money to promote creations. With steemit, content creation will earn money when their audience watch, share, like and comment their contents. What a good mean for beginner to be rewarded for their job, and spend this money on new stuff to improve the future quality of their content? In addition, this system reward only creators when their contents please the audience, which motivate them to produce the best content as possible. Another lever that pushes content creation up again. Finally, this remuneration is a good point for me, because it’s the only way to earn money from my photography legally (at least in France). Indeed, to earn money from photography in France, we need to be declared to the government as professional photographers, useless for beginners as I am. Steemit stay so as the only way to be paid for my job, and that’s for me the main benefit of this platform.

  4. Knowledge sharing
And finally, by being international, it allow everyone to discover content from all part of the world, which could give idea of travels or photography shooting for the audience. In this idea I let you some photos I took during my travels in Europe, USA, Canada and Turkey. Photo has been take either with my Camera (Nikon D3400 18-55mm) or with smartphone (Honor 8).

That’s why as a photography beginner, I advise all my peers to start sharing their content on Steemit, let’s express yourself and be reward for your job!!
Hope that this paper could motivate new photographers to share their content, and become new Steemit users

Dear Steemians, have a great creative day
François
