Boracay is the #1 tourist destination in Philippines by locals and foreigners. Boracay was awarded “Travelers Choice”. The island is surrounded by hotels, resorts, restaurants, apartments, bars and other tourism-related businesses.

This is the view from our room that makes your day very comfortable and relaxing. From here I like watching the people walked by and you witnessed the crazy things happened.
The Boracay Island is divided to three station, the station 1, station 2, and station 3. I'm staying at station 2.

Boracay has a white fine sand, large sandbar and crystal clear water. This is the place were many people wish to have a vacation and bring their family. If I compare this in Coron Palawan I like Boracay better because the island has everything and you can swim whenever you want. While Coron you need to go on an island hopping tour for a beach. Boracay also has many more restaurants and cafes. The internet also seems a bit faster. So if you are planning to live and work for a few month it may be more comfortable.

I walked on the beach almost every morning from station 2 to station 1 at Boracay Rock. Willy's Rock is declared as a government-owned property and was renamed as Boracay Rock.
Very relaxing to see the beach, to feel the sand with your feet and the water touching your toes.

To explore the island we walked to the beach trail all the way to the rocks until the beach trail ends. There's not a lot of people coming here for swimming because the beach has full of rocks which is not safe for swimming. There is a big resort at the end of this trail.

There are activities you can do like windsurfing, kite boarding, parasailing and others but I never tried them. I like to do paddle boarding with some funny things like paddle board racing and who will stay standing on the board after the pushing each others board. The paddle board rent per hour is between 200 pesos depending on how much you negotiate the price.

Here are some breakfast menu in different restaurants. Its hard to look for cheap meals here in Boracay so this breakfast prices are between 150 pesos above which is expensive for me as a Filipino but cheap for foreigners. Some restaurants doesn't open for breakfast but there is a Starbucks that opens early. As we all know this coffee shop has some sandwiches and this is popular to foreigners who love coffee. It was located at Station 1.

The sunset is amazing mostly everyday but its crowded during this time there are lots of people on the beach taking selfies, walking on the beach, swimming, doing sailboat and the restaurants put a table and chairs for nightlife.
Boracay is very crowded nowadays people come and go.

At night the beach was noisy and many establishments operates like disco bars, restaurants with live band. There are fire dance in some restaurants and some reggae or Jamaican singers. If you like nightlife this place is the best for you. Some establishments transformed when the sun goes down. So if your planning to sleep early be sure to wear earphones or anything to cover your ears.

Things that I like about Boracay.

  1. The beach is wide and clean with white powdery sand.
  2. The restaurants are everywhere.
  3. Many choices of hotels, resorts, and apartments.
  4. Many job opportunities for locals.
  5. Great nightlife scenery.
  6. Better WiFi

There's only one thing that I don't like about is when the local people living or working here like the construction workers being rude to you. It happens couple times which is not good because its a tourist destination not just the foreigners also local people living in different cities in Philippines.

One of my dream is to have a vacation in Boracay but then when I got here I wish more than that.
To live here is one of my dream, my next goal but I realize it is much more pricey than other places. The accommodation, foods, apartments even just a boarding house, the things that you need to buy. I think a lot what would be my job, my source of income, my shelter, who will be my friends. Many adjustments but then this place is amazing.

You should visit Boracay for those who likes a city beach but for those who are looking for beach with a silent scenery and less crowded go to Coron Palawan island resorts.

That would be all for now FOLLOW ME for more post and for my next travel guide destinations.

Very nice photos... takes me back to my roots...

yes very nice..

I like the pictures, this place is very beautiful. I think I might like Coron better though because there are fewer people there right? I prefer the more simple underdeveloped places with less people than crowded resort areas. Thanks as always for the beautiful pictures Crishel. Ingats po...

Another great article Crishel. Beautiful pictures and useful information. Many people trying to convince me to go to Boracay, now I guess I have a better appreciation for it. When living in Cebu I am sure I will visit there often. Thank you again and I always wish you the best.

good post

Upvoted and following, your photos are really beautiful but I think the watermark kills them a bit :(

Planning to head to the Philippines next year too so your blog will be very useful for me.
