PHOTOGRAPHY: Take a closer look

in photography •  7 years ago

When I was little, me and my family would go for walks and picnics to some beautiful places, for me nothing is better than walking though a enchanting forest on a sunny day. As a child my parents would read to me before bed, so with a head full of fairy's, magical kingdoms and a head full of wonder. I would run off from the family and explore for my self, hoping to catch a gimps of a fairy's having tea on a toadstool or Peter rabbits white tail disappear down the rabbit hole.

So I have done this post, looking back though all the photos I have taken over the recent years and picking out the ones where I have been in a world of my own, looking for the simple things in life that are truly beautiful and inspiring. I think all to often people are rushing around, getting from A to B, but forget that the journey can be better than the destination. I look at these photos now and can see I still look at the world with a keen sense of wonder, taking things slow because I wouldn't want to miss anything :)

Almost missed this one hiding between the blades of grass.

Each picture is of something you might just walk past with out giving it a second glance, but instead I looked a little closer and I think theirs something quite charming about things on a small scale. Almost like a gimps into another world or seeing things from an animals point of view, its amazing what you can find if you just look a little closer.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my post, I hope you enjoyed it and much as I enjoyed taking the photos.

Much love, Fliss :)
