Last week i was on holiday in Hamburg and Helgoland (Germany) together with 2 friends of mine. We had a lot of fun and also a good luck with the weather and the pictures. I just came home from the airport and want to show you a first glimpse of the pictures i did there. I did a lot of longtime exposures in Hamburg and a lot of wildlife photography in Helgoland. In Hamburg we did a "Alsterrundfahrt" and visited the harbour. In Helgoland our main topic was wildlife photography. I will show you some more pictures in the next articles.

A suggestion though, if I may: perhaps your audience would be interested in the animals' English or Latin names too. Not everybody knows German ;-)

When I went to Helgoland ten years ago, I also took a digital cam with me but one of the entry-level ones ... even now, I'm still far from getting such results.

Yes with a 600 mm lens it's easier to get decent results, but still you need to be patient and wait for the animals to come out of their hide. A lot of luck, patience and the knowlegde what settings to use on these shots helps a lot.

Danke, ja muss erst sichten hab nur mal schnell durchgeschaut da kommen sicher noch einige schöne in der nächsten Zeit. Bin erst heute späten Nachmittag nachhause. Aber es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub einfach nur genial. Super Tiere, Wetter und Locations. Sicher in ein paar Jahren wieder mal. Weiter Bilder kommen sicher in den nächsten Tagen. :-)
