8 Years ago I teamed up with a very talented make-up artist Marissa Bennett to form Simply U Makeovers which soon became one of the UK's busiest Boudoir Makeover Studio's shooting well over 1200 makeovers per year to clients across the UK.
Out of all the types of photography I have done this has to be one of the most challenging but rewarding.
Many women who entered our studio were extremely nervous, its not everyday you have to take your clothes off for a complete stranger. But they all wanted the same results, they wanted to look and feel amazing and give themselves the ultimate confidence boost.
So we couldn't let them down, if this meant spending hours in the studio perfecting the style and look they truly wanted then that's what we did.
Each woman had a different story to tell and each a different reason for booking their makeover shoot with us.
Some aspired to be models, others wanted to give their partners a very sexy intimate birthday gift. We had brides-to-be wanting to surprise their new husbands and recently divorced ladies wanting to treat themselves and feel good again
Whatever their reason we did our best to make sure they left that studio over whelmed and feeling good about themselves.
To see many of their reactions and the looks on their faces when they saw how beautiful they looked was for me the most rewarding aspect of my photography career to date.
Yes I got my fair share of stick and joking from my mates down the pub about what a hard life it must be photographing half naked women everyday, but I really did feel I was making people very happy and giving them back something they'd lost, the ability to truly love themselves and feel good about who they were. Oh and yes it was a pretty cool job to have.
Wow, 1200 makeovers a year is a lot. You don't get to those sorts of numbers without providing an outstanding service and providing an excellent product. Really interesting to read about this.
