I traveled to South Africa, then flew to Botswana, then caught a boat along the Chobe River which is in Botswana and Namibia depending on what part of it you are on. We immigrated out of Botswana along the river at a government office and then immigrated into Namibia at a hut next to the river (I kid you not).

Finally after all that adventuring we were on a boat along the Chobe and able to get on with our photography. The birds of Chobe were our primary focus on this trip, but as Botswana/Namibia has lots of everything else i came home with many great images.

Today i am presenting some Baboons i shot while in Namibia. I never pass up a chance to photograph primates, but baboons really have a place in my heart after we had to chase one away from our room in Kenya, the baboon left our balcony and he went straight into another of our tour guests rooms, and scared the living daylights out of her... when we heard the scream 2 minutes after our own baboon encounter we looked at each other and burst out laughing, knowing full well it was the baboon terrorizing camp.

Note: They are vicious and dangerous and they do not scare easily.
