A Different Perspective (Original Photography)

Howdy!

For awhile, I've seen these "Tiny World" photos. @lighteye posted one here yesterday and I, again, contemplated how they might be created. Interest piqued, I set off to create one.

It Is a Small World, After All!
I like figuring puzzles like this out. Logic games and reasoning puzzles have always fascinated me. In the end, this wasn't too terribly difficult. The biggest hitch I ran into was figuring out how Photoshop changes an image into polar coordinates.

Once I had that figured out, of course, I just had to take it a step further...

The World Is Your Donut!
The donut world is my favorite of the two, and presents some interesting possibilities for future Photoshop micromundos. This is something I'll definitely play with in the future, though I still prefer non-Photoshopped images.

Thank you very much for the mention, @fotosdenada. Your experiments are most interesting — planets of a Little Prince! :)

Thanks! I wonder how many people will look at it full screen and notice the outhouse... lol

BTW, there is a plate in front of the house. What does it say? Can you make a photo of it?

It's actually an old mill that is now part of the state park. I took a photo of the sign on my phone last year. It's not great, but I boosted contrast and sharpness on the text.

Sick shots bud.....very interesting, will certainly have to try it out!

Thanks! They're fun, but a little time consuming.

These are brilliant @fotosdenada. Very clever!

The top one is my favourite though. 😁

Thanks. I've seen some before. It babe out pretty nice, for a first try :)
