The Empire Knocks One Back (Macro Monday)

in photography •  7 years ago

Not all that long ago, on a card table somewhere in Minnesota...

Recently, I made a comment to my friend @irreverent-dan that the macro Lego macro photography phenomena hadn't emigrated to Steemit. He, promptly, proved me wring with a Lego Photo shoot!

So, I decided to join Macro Monday, Monochrome Monday, and whatever-else Monday with a little Lego fun, too! Normally I do more commentary, but I'll let this photo sequence speak for itself!

We got this!

As for the beer, it was one of my father's home-made ales. The "I" stands for "Inkeeper," which is the name of the brewer's kit he used to make it. Inkeeper is one of my favorites, as it's a lighter beer, neither too sweet nor too bitter, with a refreshing and light flavor.

What's this guy mad about, anyway?

That's brilliant @fotosdenada, very creative and funny :)

Thank you. It was fun :-)

Omg, I can't believe I just about missed this post of yours! Wayyyy too fun and absolutely ingenious!! Love it :)

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to make, too. The beer was even good!

That's so cute. Such little Stormtroopers. The black and white is a fun edit. You could do so many story posts with legos like this.

Thanks! It was Monday, so I thought it would be fun to do the Monochrome Monday thing. Maybe next time I'm in Rochester, I'll pick up some of my old 1980's and 90's sets!

Howdy, Mark! I just woke up to this, and I have to say that your idea and execution are brilliant! :) Being also a beer fan, I couldn't help but resteem it.

I am stealing your first sentence 😋

Thanks and feel free to use that line! lol. That last shot looks like "that guy" who gets angry when he drinks. Then again, he is a Lego Storm Trooper.

Sad, a grown man looking at Lego's on Amazon so that I can join in on the fun. Great photos @fotosdenada.

Great title too!

Thanks!

@smawkward LOL! 😁

Lego wants a lot for those pieces of plastic. I was not expecting them to be that pricey.

Have you ever seen mini chemlights, I think I could use those as little light sabers.

They are high! That little kit I used had four Lego guys and a handful of blocks for about fifteen dollars. The mini chem stick idea sounds great! Their hands are pretty tiny, though... Could go George Lucas style and edit them in Photoshop.

wow cool idea Lego is so creativity. It was a good story on so few pictures. a made a start stop movie with lego once with a bank robbery like as its plot. and Dan has some very nice post. :)

Thank you! I used to make stop-motion videos with Legos, when I worked in a studio. It was very slow in the summer months. They came out alright, but aren't really post-worthy. A bank robbery Lego video sounds more fun!

Hermosas publicaciones. Te deseo un feliz y bendecido dia.

Muchas gracias, @haydeart. Que tengas un muy buen día también. ¡Un abrazo!

Gee, if you held on longer you could have entered this in beer saturday too!!

Is that a paint can opener I see? Those Lego boys worked hard at getting the beer bottle space ship to the mother ship.

Fun project and story @fotosdenada!! Great job on it!

They couldn't handle a bigger opener, but that paint key has a bottle opener on it :-) It's hard being a lego storm trooper! It took quite a few tries to get them to hold that thing up. :-)

I can tell from the last guys face....yeeesh!!! He's swearing, I can tell 🤬
