A couple years ago I started shooting Leica rangefinders instead of my full frame Canons, and while slower, clunkier, manual focus only I found that refreshing and inspiring. Manual focusing a camera helps you concentrate about the picture you are taking instead of iso-settings-mega-raw-multi button pressing of modern cameras. In my bag there were a Leica M9 and a Canon EOS 1Ds and 6D. Guess what I used more and more...

Image quality is everything, in well, image making. And Leica delivers the best lenses on planet Earth. They are quite expensive (50mm f2 is about 2000 EUR, 35 1.4 ASPH about 4500 EUR) but Leica lenses hold value exceptionally and those lens are the best your money can buy.
