A Mighty Skink

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

We caught this gigantic skink coming out of our big post oak tree. As I was looking through pictures of our move to Missouri I came across these wonderdul shots. I love the beautiful green leaves and the wildlife here. Be well!

That's quite a fatty!!! Or do you think it was full of eggs? I wonder how big lizard eggs are...now I'm going to have to look it up. Haha!

Haha I woulf love to hear what you find! I believe there was just the one. It was huge. The usual skinks we see are only 3-4" nose to beginning of tail. This one was nearly 5-6"!

They look pretty big, actually! It's crazy how they can lay them!

Wild life too have their own definition of nature's beauty and uniqueness. Oh yeah, it does...your post is simple but tells more. 👏👏👏

Thank you. I love it.

My boys would love to find that! They've been talking about salamanders for days!

Well the warm weather is coming! There will be salamanders and lizards plenty!

Wow !!!! Wild photography ..
Awesome capture...
Thanks for share it.

Thank you!

Great shots! I wonder how many inside there?

Thank you! I think there was only the one.

Nice photos, Yeti. And you guys really want to move north? There has to be something special that draws you there...

Thank you! We are really excited to go. There is nothing really drawing us up there besides the spirit of adventure. We can't wait to see it and experience it!

Awesome! Amazing when nature just walks in your path.

Thats true! We have had our share of nature since we have been here. I am going to share some more pictures this week.
