Yesterday I left my place early to hit up McDonald's on my walk to the bus stop which left with some time to capture a picture of High Tor. It wasn't the most clear shot I could have gotten but the buildings and wires give it that mountain town feel.
Since my sister was involved with photography while in high school I now wish I took a more active interest as a kid. Even if I wasn't going to pursue it as a career it could have provided me with a glimpse of how the area looked years ago. Sometimes it is easy to forget the way things were if you've become used to the way things are. My memories of West Haverstraw are vague because going there was a rare occurrence for me until high school. The stores and med center isn't that new with the Wendy's (not pictured) being close to 30 years old. I'm guessing prior to the center being constructed it was an undeveloped field or wooded area.
Good picture my baby💋💋
