My Trip to Choroni - Part VI - Colonial Doors' Collection

Colonial Doors

While in Choroni I noticed certain patterns, some related to the people, others to food and some to facades. I have always liked photosets of a certain item that you find like on trips, this item repeats taking several forms and you "collect" them trought photography. I've seen some marvelous work related to photography collected items and this was one of my attempts to do a similar work. When I chose what would it be I was in front of this forgotten yet beautiful old blue gate. It's part of the inn's colonial fence I stood while on Choroni and just thought its texture and color was so beautiful. I present you a small collection of colonial doors from Choroni.

This is my other favorite door. It's from a very flamboyatnt inn just in from of the pier. I passed through the day but actually the spectacle is at night. Lights on, it makes you appreciate the collage made out of porcelain pieces like in a stained glass style. It's really stunning and a prompt invitation to enter.

Hope it called your attention as it did mine. I close this collection with the back gate from of the oldest house in town, from the 1700s.
