                               Photographer: Gaëlle Spaas Photography (me)

As my previous post, this photo also belongs to my "Melancholic Beauty" series which I had made during my depression.

In this pic I was mostly trying to create that melancholic vibe, that's why I inspired myself on the painting Ophelia. With using a white dress and a young female model, I referred again to myself (young) and melancholy's beauty. I want to let everyone realize that being melancholic isn't always ugly, bad and depressed. There is also this kind of beauty inside it like finding peace in nature, a wolf howling at the moon or those dried flowers which are always as beautiful as they were before.

I want you to feel this comfort while looking at this pic and realize that being melancholic isn't bad, enjoy it while you can!

I hope you guys like it and if so, you're always welcome to resteem it!

I'm still thinking about doing this kind of "tutorial" about how I edit my pics in Photoshop, would you like that? Please let me know of which pic you would like to have a tutorial and comment this below!

You are right, of course, nut I wonder if the benefits of being melancholic aren't restricted to those of us with an artistic or creative nature? On another note, I'd be interested in photoshop tutorials. I like the photo, but model's head is higher than I'd like it to be, she almost looks uncomfortable. But then again, I can understand her not being willing to drown for the sake of a portrait, even if it is a beautifully romantic and unusual one....

I don't think that, everyone can enjoy the benefits of being melancholic! They just have to see it, everyone who has really been melancholic knows that it has some kind of beauty. Which part of tutorials would you like? Color editing or more the retouching part? :) The reason she was laying like this, was to "save" the makeup she had on, drowning wasn't really possible since she was already laying with her whole body on the bottom. :)

Oh, goodness yes, I forgot about the make-up! What a disaster that could have been! I haven't actually used photoshop for some years. Switched to paintshop pro when i had to upgrade as I needed a cheaper option at the time. Now I'm wondering how much of a learning curve it would be to switch back to it. So basically I'm interested in any photoshop reviews or tutorials.

Indeed haha! :) If you haven't seen it yet, you should go check out my first tutorial about the color editing process: https://steemit.com/photography/@gaelle.spaas/e-u-n-e-i-r-o-p-h-r-e-n-i-a-color-editing-tutorial
I'm basically not good at giving tutorials in my opinion, but I'll definitely post some other tutorials in the future ! :)
