One more foggy shot from two days ago. :)

Hello again! =)

This one is a contrasty shot, I really like the atmosphere on it.

I am definitely printing this out.

Camera body: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: Sigma ART 50 mm ƒ/1.4
Aperture: ƒ/8.0
Exposure: 1/400 s
ISO: Dual-ISO 100+200

I don't know about you guys, but for me it oozes melancholy. But it's not a bad thing...

It's bedtime-story time now, so I'll be back later, after I read the boys some Harry Potter – Order of Phoenix.

See ya!

@gamer00,
I see boats! But where is the water :O Amazing! Never see that much of fog before! And if I could see those boats I will def think this is a plane land with lots of snow!

Cheers~

The water is under ice... or was... the ice is now melting super fast.

Those trees look like giant mushrooms in an alien world.

It does not have to be an alien world, there were giant mushrooms on earth millions of years ago, so it can be a photograph of the past taken by someone from the future for people of the present: D

Beautiful photo. It looks very bright even with the fog.

Oh! NO! This one is full of foreboding feeling! Too powerful and uncomfortable to stay with a long time!

Yeah, that one. One of my favourites. Even if it oozes melancholy :D

Yeah melancholy is not bad. In fact seems natural this time of year for us stuck in the snow when others have warmth and flowers.

That was the second to last real Winter day. It's warming up and all the snow and ice is melting very fast right now.

It looks a little sad and heart broken but is a great photo I really like the contrast and it does not lose its artistic value, really cool frame @gamer00

Friend. although you ooze melancholy without being a bad thing. I say for me it is a tremendous photo, excellent that this photo is printing it, because it is a perfect moment, that contrast from highest to lowest looks great. Thank you for sharing with us these beautiful shots .. For me they take me to a tranqulidad. detail each tree,. it's great

Is it a lake shore? because they look like some boats .. right

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Yes it's a small boat harbour with a man-made bank around it, but since it's iced in, there aren't many boats in water and the water itself is not yet visible for all the snow and ice. :)

You should make a shot, but let that lake be in the background, Or it is in which I mention that it is a surrealist that in the background is the lake. I think the first photo of the first post in this type of photography where I told him that it was excellent to mount it in a painting.

I can see tree type is the same as the last one. But this time there more trees and that just makes it more beautiful.
I am also assuming that the presence of boats indicate water beyond the 'tree line'. The fog and the unseen water ...........imagination is a wonderful thing particularly when image driving it is beautiful as well.

By the way I followed you. Your handle @hashcash reminded me of a proof-of-work e-mail spam limiting concept in the nineties. Not sure if you took it from there but I thought it was cool! :)

Thanks for the appreciation, i'm encouraged.

Thanks for the follow man. Really appreciated.
The name hashcash actually comes from a personal experience but I enjoy pun :-)

what an amazing photo, really-I loved it more than anything for its black and white-
regards @gamer00

Again a beautiful and amazing place and again brilliant snap shot...@gamer00

Thank you!

Wow those are great photo of fog you are posting in the last few days keep up body

Thank you! I appreciate it! :)

Looks like paradise for me. Bored of the normal sun every day. Looks like it's by a lake as there are boats upside down.

It looks so cool. I almost thought it was well-drawn by a professional artist. Did you do some photo editing on it?.

Thanks!

I added some contrast and de-saturated it into monochrome.

Thats the kind of shot I could see blowing up and putting on a wall. Positive melancholy.

Thanks! I know, I just printed it out and it definitely looks like I should put it on a wall. :)

I like this picture. Personally, it is the colors black and white which create the melancholy for me, but there is also this serenity and feeling of protection emanating from the trees here :)

Thanks!

Yep, monochrome does sometimes convey emotion much more efficiently than colour. I wonder why that is. Maybe it's because it's lacking some information, and the viewer must force themselves to fill the blanks.

I love these trees. (Terijoensalava, Salix fragilis 'Bullata')

They are very common in Finland, all around river banks and lakes. It's a bit unclear where they were brought from as it isn't a native tree.

Thanks for the name! I love everything related to plants, and trees. As you say, the emotion is being conveyed very strongly, and the trees appear very present. They are in the NOW, without attachment to past and future, thus this strong serenity which so many Humans lack ;)
Great picture!

is it really real?
that is just awesome
this one deserves print out

is it really real?

Yes, really real. :) Thanks!

Really buddy where do you like ,coz i know these shots are not from earth..
Great photography...

I am stoked that you liked the photographs. Thanks! :)

Excellent painting, reflects a desolation artistically pleasant

Not a painting, a photograph. :) Thanks for the kind assessment.

Well you should print it out buddy !

It is indeed looking pretty awesome !

Thanks! I printed it. I think I might have enough prints now to make something out of them.

You sure will buddy !

This is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!
-cheers-

Queee-Queee, the phoenix screeched with all of his power! Trying to lay a golden egg! But what appeared was not an egg!
(It's to add some mood to the melancholy in the photo).

Hm. Forgot to try not self-voting...

You forgot or what?. Didnt get this.

I wanted to try @tarazkp's suggestion not to vote until 20 minutes pass so that my own vote wouldn't block curation rewards from other voters.

Oo, I used to do those strategies in my early days here, but I discovered it is difficult to follow religiously except one is a bot. I read that one should wait 30 minutes after a post is on blockchain before one votes, sometimes back. And also, 100 % upvote only reduces the voting power by 2%. In short these are things that are basics of voting and curation.

Don't blame me if you become a homeless beggar in your local keskustori... ;)

Haha! :) I know that was a joke and all that, but I must say that I'm not at all concerned about it. It looks like having done all that work into posting daily for almost a year now is already paying off. I might as well try giving more attention to what my audience is getting from the deal.

Although it does seem most of them are already doing quite well already, looking at those most active in my comments.

@MarkkuJantunen and I had a discussion about Steem and especially about the subject of "winning" today, and we came to the conclusion that it isn't necessarily the same mechanic here as it sometimes is in the meatspace, where winning may come from the disadvantage of others. Here, it seems the concept of winning is different, as there are whole communities of people following each others who will be the winners.

It's simply the concept of "what is good for you is good for me" exemplified.

So, I am already a winner. It's just that I want to keep it that way. If I don't succeed in sharing curation rewards (for being lazy or forgetful), maybe I can help my commentors win by voting them.

yes, it is interesting to see how much can be distributed through comments. Did you see this?

https://steemit.com/bisteemit/@boddhisattva/top-200-effective-steemit-surators-that-encourage-discussion-for-the-last-week-2018-03-26-2018-04-01

Granted many of them are automated accounts, members of trails and the like but still ( I don't know what the hell utopian are voting on though). Anyway, that is a lot of distribution on comments if you think about it and I would say that for the most part (at least for me) the comments I get are generally decent which means that voting on good comments will increase the value of good commentors significantly.

In my experience, it has changed the engagement level significantly, as has flagging spam a bit more often.

I really didn't understand the math behind it, and then when I looked at some of the people above me in the chart, there are some who are big enough that will, even with just a few votes skew the results.

I've noticed that 5% votes for comments won't generally affect my SP too much so I can vote on almost every comment I find good or interesting enough. 85th place... makes me wonder.

I have no idea and yes, the ones above can skew it a lot but, it is an interesting metric to consider (not necessarily how it is presented there). I think that when the hivemind updates come these kinds of statistics are easier to pull and much more will be unveiled.

I am not sure that is a painting or a photography .
