Streets of Lahti #2

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hello!

The weather is nice, but I decided to make this post before leaving.

Continuing from where I left in the previous Streets of Lahti post...

Street art in the Vesijärventie - Aleksanterinkatu crossing

In case you were wondering, you can check the precise locations of these photos on a map through Flickr.

Some less artsy scribblings in the next crossing to the South.

Further South, after crossing over Hämeenkatu I found a bit differently decorated transformer house. (I wonder, what are these buildings really called in English?)

"Transformer house" with a sheep theme

Next to the "transformer house" we have a bike park:

Bicycle park, looking North-West over Hämeenkatu

Zoomed over (just kidding, I walked) to the other side of the street from where I was standing I saw these gang markings:

Brave young rebels have written something on other people's windows.

Ahum...

Satan has died?
Apparently Satan has passed away and someone misses him sorely.

The way some people express their sorrow and longing for other people, makes me wonder...

Defaced doorways around a pizzeria.

Pizzeria Petra used to have nice pizzas btw. I haven't tried them very recently, but I recall they were quite good. :)

Fazer?
Fazer?... Faker? No idea...

Back to the Aleksanterinkatu - Vesijärvenkatu crossing.

But hey, I'll be going for today's shoot now, so I'll post more in a later post. In part 3 of "Streets of Lahti". :)

See ya!

Nice to see Lahti in this point of view. I never really had time to stop to see the city I live in. Great pictures!

This seems like quite an interesting and quirky place. I always wonder the reasons behind some graffiti marks, like what thought went into the place and mark at the time.
Lots of bold colours and great city character shots here, inspiring me to get out and capture my local places too.

Hope all is well my friend!

Go for it! :)

Hope all is well my friend!

Thanks! Everything is fine... it just seems that my nature photo session gets postponed time and again. This time I had to go help my wife with the laundry. ;D

It's already almost 5pm and I still haven't passed the front door.

Albeit not focus of your photography here, I have to say that cobblestones like that around the tree in the second image is my favorite ground design. If all was cobblestoned the cities would be much more beautiful all over the world!

Nice man, that was like going on a trip with a tour group. I really like the B&W images you through in there. Makes me a little nostalgic and emotional . Looking forward to your next shoots

Thanks... more shots coming up shortly. I just need to run them through the editor first. This time I tried shooting with a vintage lens that's about 40 years of age.

I'll have a peep shortly, was man down last night with the flu. Not fun

The weather was cool and the street was so polite.
There were less people in the street but your black and white effect , made those photo more attractive.
Thanks @gamer00 for some cool photography. Enjoyed it : )

@gamer00,
Street arts are something that I wish to see at my town area, but so far I didn't see them! Therefore, when I see them around your place, I might feel, you are a lucky guy! Nice captures! Thank you!

Cheers~

They really call it urban art, but sometimes between the limits of art it is too much exaggeration, to simply put a signature on a window or perhaps inadvertently in the appearance of a commercial establishment. they really are small great truths embodied in several images. Thanks @ gamer00

Streets of Lahti, perhaps like streets of graffiti

Am just loving the photos you are showing us @gamer00.

Hi gamer. Just got in. Those electric boxes are called sub stations. Nothing is sacred and street art is everywhere.

You picked a funny name "Transformer house". Haha.
In your place weather is shiny and here we are facing storm.
Shiny day turned into night.
Internet connection is losing frequently.
Trying to post this comment for last 2 and a half hours.

Hello my friend @ gamer00, I always observe your content and your photos are quite good, let me tell you that you have a fixed follower who appreciates your dedication and good photographs, the photos that you show us in this opportunity, are about street art in my country, This is considered vadalism, but personally I think it is a way of expressing feelings

Thank you!

I believe most of it is considered vandalism here too, but I think the first image I posted is a part of some town commissioned art, as there are quite a few of them all around the town.

I totally agree with you, that kind of graffiti like that of the first image, even paid in some parts and I have seen that contests have been held, but the rest if I consider it vandalism!

Looks like a bit of a rough crew of kids.

Maybe we would call that a power substation. We dont really have something that is comparable here

a power substation

That might be it... @cryptoandcoffee also mentioned substations

Of all the street art photos. I like the first picture, the good thing about that picture is that the dragon even seems like it would come out of there and it must be, one for the position as you took the picture and it must also be as it was painted since it is not in the flat because it crosses from one side to another the image

I find the dragon very intriguing too.

And I thought in Bulgaria there are a lot of graffiti. These are overdoing it a bit with spraying on top of windows and all. We have loads all around and mostly in tunnels but very rarely you can see someone spraying on top of someone else's window.

I find a lot of kids like to leave some graffiti there. They better use all this energy to help their grandparents.

Well some look like vandalism but others are really good, and look that drawing some of those works using a paint can with compressed air should not be easy.

verry verry exceland photography

Every place is so nice and beautifull I like to visit here because I love to travel to the world . Because traveling is the best book

Sir's fourth image is awesome.

Every photo you take is good............Most of the pictures here are about the road......There are clear, transparent and very good frames..........

There are many types of writings on the streets of every country in the world.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
Some good clicks bruh. But i think on yourcountry people express their feelings by street art. Thanks dude for share some amazing weather's photo.

Amazing Photography sir ....you really profesonal photographer

quite interesting streets Streets of Lahti

quite interesting streets Streets of Lahti

If you want to bookmark a map of this area then you will be able to purchase it from anywhere in the world. It will be a great choice for you.

The streets are so quiet and empty of people!

It was as if you step into a film location where they are about to shot a scary film! The first photo of red scary grafitti set off my imagination! There is going to be an invasion from characters of computer games!

the photos were very well focused and the graffiti is very criticized by many, but personally I do not like the majority

Smart photography.........
Great job...

Awsome photography and amazing interesting places....
Lovely blog.

lol I love the sheep theme:-)

Hello dear, very good photos. and the truth is that art is art, be it urban. a greeting

The effect that you give to the last two photos completely change the landscape. Good picture my friend

Yeah... Not long ago I've read a post about good and ugly graffiti.
Why I don't see steemit graffiti there, hmmm.

Apparently Satan has passed away and someone misses him sorely.

LOL

These streets are looking so great and its all because you captured them so amazingly.

Lahti looks like a beautiful place i tell you. Would check in up on Google map and see how it is. I really love the bike at the park. Wish i had one

I see what you did there, look closely:

I see this kind of plagiarization and I will immediately flag you. And so I have.

I am really to say actually I don,t to apply this this system..

Please my friend consider this issue..
Next time avoid this..
Please withdraw your flag..😫😫😫

And can you please tell me why I should unflag that comment?

Selena Gomes is a spam or plagiarizer?

I have no idea who either Raba Eyasmin nor Selena Gomes is, but that comment was a pure copy with just few words changed clearly to try to cheat me and I won't have that in my blog. Whoever does that will get an instant flag.

I said that because even she plagiarized the photo to Selena Gomes too!

Oh. She so deserves the flag. ;)

Actually my friend I like Selena Gomes and i obey to that this is mis take and next time I avoid this .

And actually I am not clear rules of steemit..and I realize that you are friend and near the friend little bit mistake not fact so I say withdraw your flag..
If you not withdraw you flag ..no problem..
That's all ...
And @cinofilo Selena Gomes is my favorite person so I set my profile picture by this person picture..
So not feeling negative to me..
Mind it...

Actually my friend I like Selena Gomes and i obey to that this is mis take and next time I avoid this .

Excellent, I am looking forward to seeing you write genuine and original comments in the future.
