New Camera, a Sunny Day and a perfect landscape

in photography •  7 years ago

I took my new camera out today for a tour around. After a fresh rain, here are the results. What do you think? I am a newbie, with the camera and relatively new to photography so bear with me. Thanks

Thanks its a learning curve

This camera has an awesome resolution, @gardengirlcanada! Thanks for sharing those pics!
You may find my post about drone photography interesting: https://steemit.com/steemitcool/@lazariko12/w-h-a-t-y-o-u-c-a-n-a-c-t-u-a-l-l-y-d-o-w-i-t-h-a-d-r-o-n-e-t-o-d-a-y

Thank you, still learning. Now following.

Very nice close ups. I've always thought they're the hardest shots to get.

Thank you, but really it's in the lense and zoom, camera's make it so easy with technology today. No editing on these. But still just learning.

It does a really good job. I have an ancient Kodak Easyshare. It does a good job, generally, but close-ups make it's brain wonky... it can't decide what to focus on. Lens looks like it's possessed. Lol!

The detail you've captured here is stunning. You're going to have a blast with it, I think!

I used to have a Kodak easy share camera. I love it in it's time, but the mega pixels are too small now, so I upgraded to this bad boy. I am having fun with it. I took some amazing shots of horses this afternoon, which I will post tomorrow, so stay tuned. Thanks

I'm considering an update, but have a few other things taking priority first. It's nice, though, to have it as a goal.

Gorgeous photos; very well done for a "newbie". Yes, the zoom and auto-focus do make it very easy to take crisp photos. However, one painful lesson I have learned is not to rely on auto-focus too much because it can trick you. Sometimes you frame that perfect shot and snap away thinking you got a great picture. Then, when you look at the photo on your computer, you realize that your auto-focus did not focus on your subject, but rather on something tiny in front of it. You didn't make that mistake here, but trust me - you will! Just something to keep in mind :) I once thought I got a great photo of a big black bear only to find out later that the camera focused on the grass in front of the bear; which left the bear out of focus.

It actually did happen to me with shooting horses in a field, same thing the blade of grass was a beauty. LOL

You took some good pictures there! The dragonfly is my favorite.

Thank you. And about the grown kids, go see them more, if they are busy. Just a thought.

It's a good thought.
