My first post... My French Bulldog Theo!

Hey, @pak43uk.

I guess I haven't seen a french bulldog before. Very distinct from others I've seen (I mean that in a good way, too—he's a good looking dog). How old is he?

You've probably been looking around and discovered there's a fairly robust photography community here, which includes various kinds of contests. You will fit right in, I would say.

Welcome to STEEM and I hope you enjoy your journey. You're coming in at an exciting time with the changes of this recent hard fork and things that are still to come. I wish you success here, however you choose to define that.

Hey Glen,

I think the most common type is an English Bulldog, he's a pup at 6 months old... He'll get bigger and probably a bit stockier!

I've spent a little time looking at what Steem has to offer, but the latest update has messed things up a bit, I think? Certainly, it looks like a great place to be!

Pete

Hey, @pak23uk.

Oh, okay. Six months. Yeah, I've seen English Bulldogs. The ones I've seen aren't nearly as lively or good looking as yours is, so maybe I need to look into French Bulldogs. :)

Ah, the hard fork. Yes, we're still trying to recuperate from that. First one for most of us here, since the last one was roughly 18 months ago. Apparently the first 19 took place in about a year's period of time, and witnesses weren't all that thrilled (and probably exchanges, too), with updating so regularly. This one was too big (the resource credits part of it was the main problem—it would have been a hassle by itself). However, since you're coming in with barely a few weeks in, you're in a good position, I think. You won't have to unlearn much of anything since you're still learning anyway. :) For once, not a bad spot to be in.

I think by and large, things are good here. Everyone has their issues with all kinds of things, but there are still people here to get along with and maybe even collaborate with. The platform isn't huge yet, which is probably good, but it does have a little bit of everything, and a lot for some things—art, photography, writing, being among them.

French Bulldogs are (in my humble opinion) much better looking than English!

They have moments of being pretty lively, but are to be honest mostly lazy little buggers, which fits our lifestyle perfectly.

If you are looking at a Frenchie, try and find a good breeder and be aware that they can have breathing problems.

The 'Frenchie police' will insist that you have certain colours, otherwise they're just 'not a Frenchie'

We got our little guy because we love his character and don't get involved in whether he's perfect or not... We love him irrelevant.

I'll see how Steem goes... Sounds like I might just have found it at the right time ;)
