Looking for an unusual vacation only $10 a day?

Dear readers,

what would be an unusual place to stay? Maybe an old castle in Europe from the middle of the 12th century?

No, I don't think that would be unusual enough. What about a smaller castle on top of a hill, with only a few rooms to rent and a café for breakfast? And all that for only $10 a day? Yes there is such a place, it's the old castle Araburg.

Look here, someone has engraved numbers in the stone.

Well, yes, that's a cafe and it looks inviting to me..

Relaxing like they did some thousand years ago?

I am having a hot chocolate at the café downstairs. It's a cozy place, especially for those who want to enjoy the silence of nature, this is a sanctuary that I would highly recommend.

And there is the tower.

"Why didn't you visit me?" the cow was asking.

So what do you think? Would that be a place for you to stay overnight or a couple of days? It certainly is not the usual place and not like a hotel. Of course the ideal choice for backpackers but you can buy a sleeping bag at the cafe if you don't have one.

Bye for now,
Martin

Looks like a cool castle. $10 a night is pretty good too. As one of the editors for @steemitworldmap’s daily #traveldigest, I would love to see this post pop up on http://steemitworldmap.com. If you're interested, simply go to the website, search for your location, click on code (down the bottom) and add a short description. It will then generate the code you need to copy and paste into your post (not the comments) to have it show up on steemit worldmap. There’s also a FAQ section if you get a bit lost.
