Dear steemit friends:

Today I will go on sharing these photos taken in the Zhao Mausoleum . In my previous post I shared with you some photos , If you missed them you can click part 1, part 2

It is Huang Taiji( the second generation of Emperor in Qing dynasty)'s mausoleum with his wife and besides them, there were many concubines in it. It is one of the most complete ancient imperial mausoleums in China.

Now the following photo is the Lone'en Hall.
Also called Xiang Hall, built in September of the 8th year in the reign of Emperor Chongde.it was named in November of the 7th year in the reign of Emperor Shunzhi, and was rebuilt in the 30th year of Emperor Kangxi Period. It is the main building to place the divine nameplates of the occupants of the tomb, also the major site for ceremonial activities.

On both sides of it, there are two side building where people can dry some sacrificial fruit and also called "liang guo building". They are being repaired.

Went on walking, you can see the Two-pillar Gate, stone Alta, which lies to the north of Long'en Hall.
Also called Chongtian Arch, it has a kuan shan-style roof covered with golden glazed tiles, and between the two square stone pillars stand board-partioned doors.

Made of white marble in Xumi seat style, there are five stone sculptures on the altar-the incense burner in the middle, a pair of incense bottle and a pair of candleholder on each side of the incense burner.
The Stone Altar was for the emperors or ministers to mourn the dead and offer sacrificial wine during grand memorial ceremonies.

And I went up the upstaris and finally saw The Treasure City, The Treasure Peak and The Underground Palace.

Now walking in the road, I still remembered what I had seen in here for the first time when I was 9 years old. My mother took me and my sisters to visit here. At that time, I just took one look and saw many red wild fruit on the trees. I felt the wall was so high. when I looked down from here, I was really afraid.
Now revisit here, those wild fruit trees disappeared and I had a different experience as I grow older.

The Crescent City ,also called Mute Yard, it is so named for its crescent shape.
it is about 6 meters high. On the north wall in the middle, there is a colorful screen made of glazed tiles. The Crescent City is a special space between the Square City and the Treasure City in the architectural distribution of the tomb with steps leading up and down the Square City and to the Treasure City.

Behind the Crescent city, there is Treasure City. The Treasure City is also called LuoquanWall. With a semicircular shape of about 6 meters high.

it was made of gray bricks with symbolic parapet walls.Also called Dulong(single dragon).

The following photo is The Treasure Peak

It is a mounded tomb in the middle of the Treasure City with a height of 7 meters. The tomb was made of lime, sand and yellow earth. on top of which plants an elm tree to follow the custom of the ancesters' tomb (Yongling Tomb).

Every time the sun sets and the sun shines on it, it just like a tilted mirror giving out lighting.

The Underground Palace:

Beneath the Treasure Peak lies the underground Palace where the "treasure palaces" of the owners of the tomb rest.

There are a group of buildings in the Park, imperial concubine tomb, lies to the west of the Zhao Tomb where many concubines were buried in it. And in addition, on both sides of Zhao Tomb, there are many funeral objects. I think this is a very cruel feudal system. From it we learn that immolated slaves is still prevalent In Huangtaiji Period , until Kangxi Period, the rule servents were buried alive with the dead is prohibited by official order.

Ok, so the story of Zhao Tomb has been shared completely, hope you like it.

That's very kind of you, thank you!

I wonder if the tomb was built into the wall to hide it.

Good information

Thank you @paid.

I enjoyed looking at the architecture of the tombs. The Underground Palace door looks amazing curious to be able to look inside. The design of these ancient buildings fascinate me because the tools that we have to assist in building, the people of the past did not. Wonder how they were so precise in the building process. Appreciate the post!

@ace-k20, yes, I'm also curious about the door of the Undergroud palace, and stand in front of it for a long time, think of how many people walked into it..it seems that you like history very much! very good.
