PHOTO: Sunset Over Monadnock (New Hampshire, USA) + bonus music update

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

I caught a gorgeous sunset with my friends yesterday, after rehearsal dinner for today's wedding.

The view from this estate is stunning. You don't see the big mountain, Monadnock, from this photo cuz the sun sets in the wrong spot for that. It's a 180 degree view of mountains and valleys in the distance... this photo gives a nice slice of it.

Meanwhile, inside my brain, a song is spinning... worked on a new The Walding Family track this morning. This sound is amazing:

So we'll see where that goes.

I would share more photos of all the fun and rad stuff here at the wedding, but, I should respect the privacy of my friends and not put too much on my public blog. Needless to say, I have having an amazing time. I hope you are too.

Have a great Saturday & steem on.

Hope you're having a good time dude. That does look like a fantastic spot.

Is it weird to say the little song snippet sounds like something from the Sega?

Having a blast! I wish you could hear how good the speakers are here. Even if I'm mostly having to spin pop music and classic rock for the wedding crowd, the sound quality is IMMENSE!

I could see it sounding like Sega. I think a lot of extreme or weird music ideas happen in popular video games or film scores, much moreso than in actual popular music, so it makes total sense.

I'd love to be able to play some of the music I enjoy on a good sound system like that, haha.

Yeah, that's true, and a lot of the old video game music is basically just 8- or 16-bit metal music. Although, the Sega Megadrive had a lot of funk influence. But even aside from that the snippet you shared reminds me of how the Megadrive's YM2612 chip produces sound using FM synthesis. It has a similar timbre, if that's the right word.

Yeap I agree with you It is really gorgeous....Love the colors😍

thanks :-) - I actually added a bit of a pink/purple hue to it compared to the original, which is really interesting for some reason to me... since you mentioned it, here's the original for comparison:

Both are beautiful! ^_^

Very cool indeed and I like the music track too
