This is a photo of a tower in the maltese islands located at the bay of Dwejra. In these parts these towers are very common especial next to the sea. The use of such a tower was not to defend but to warn others, by using a fire on the tower and warn other towers that the enemy is coming, until the message is reached to the main fortresses.
