I will never forget seeing Machine Head Live. It was a very special show, entitled "An Evening with Machine Head" No opening band, no bullshit, just three hours of metal. The energy was immense, and intense. The complexity of the guitar work, and the acoustics of the venue definitely helped them deliver an incredible performance. Easily the best live show that I have been to! Hope you guys enjoy these pics as much as I enjoyed seeing the band!
It is particularly excellent when you see a band live, and songs that didn't impress you on the album are given a new life by being performed live. An Evening With Machine Head sold me on a few of their songs that I didn't think were as good as others, and reinforced my love for many of their classic tracks.
When Locust was played, everyone was in awe, including the band themselves at the audience participation. If you like Machine Head, I highly, highly recommend seeing them live if you can!
