Photos from a Steemit meetup and a day travelling historical sites with other steemit members.

So I'm kind of new to the whole blog thing. I was introduced to steemit by @mudcat36 but haven't really gotten into full swing with until lately. When he suggested I meet up with him and someone from Steemit I was a bit skeptical, however I know @mudcat36, so I thought why not.
Normally I'd never dream of meeting up with people I have spoken to over the internet but as I was in the company of someone who I know and is a well known active member of our local community I figured I'd be safe enough.
It was an amazing experience.
I met @skunkape30uk (weird name right?) who turned out to be an hilarious guy. Between the two of them it was like walking around with two talking Wikipedia's, it was funny to listen to @mudcat36 make cracks at @skunkape30uk and him fire right back. By the end of the day I had learnt how to set up my own Coinbase account (was never sure how to convert Steem and crypto currency into money), more history than my brain could hold and how the block chain transactions and block production work explained in a way that even little old me I could understand it! They both have a wicked dry sense of humor as well so I found myself in stitches most of the day.
@mudcat36 said he was going to do a walk with me post and meet up post in one so I took the opportunity to try out my new smartphone on some pics. I've always enjoyed all manner of photography and it is what I want to be more involved in on Steemit so I figured I'd try my hand at some art shots and combine them with the meet up post. Here's my pictures of Trent, and Sherborne Abbey in Dorset UK. These are my efforts as an amateur photographer, before any filters and any major editing is done. (another skill I am interested in learning more about).

I hope you found them enjoyable .Any pointers from experienced photographers on Steemit would be most welcome.
I had such fun today meeting another Steemit user. I also learnt a lot more than I thought I would, which most definitely makes me feel more confident about using Steemit on a more regular basis. If you would like to see the full walk with me post it is on @mudcat36 blog. He's kinda the one getting people involved, sorting out meet ups, and getting new people to join.
After listening to him chatting today I am certainly fired up by his passion and ideas for the future and content of Steemit. I hope to contribute more snapshots of the things I find beautiful that hopefully you will too.
Thank you for reading my blog. Steem on!
