Hello Steemians!

Welcome to the third installment of my exclusive Steemit Mobile Street Photography series, Saturday Morning at The Met.

I'm happy to share these photographs with you from a regular pastime of mine, popping into The Met, (which is virtually in my 'backyard') whenever I feel the need for an art fix or if I simply want to escape. The magic within the walls of this magnificent building is endless, roaming the marble floors feels like a movie or a novel come-to-life.

This week I went to a favorite spot in the museum, The Petrie European Sculpture Court. The grand space itself is as much of a lure as the wonderful sculptures are. As parts of the museum have been rebuilt through the years, different architectural designs can still be seen and in fact are a part of the delightful experience. The once south red brick facade of the museum built by architect Theodore Weston was in the late 1800's the building's entrance, but now it forms one of the walls in this glass enveloped gallery. Being there is like going back in time or in an indoor French garden.

Welcome to this week's Saturday at The Met.
