City Shapes

July 2017. This is a photo that reminds me of a very difficult moment. I was supposed to working on a project about the modern architectural styles in Athens downtown. After a walk in the center of the city for a while, I noticed this building and decided to take a photo that could promote its shape and the excellent sunlight reflected on its surface. I walk a bit around, I choose a spot and I prepare my camera for the shot. Suddenly some guys surround me and start to yell: no journalists here!!! get lost! I tried to understand what happens and explain to them I wasn't a journalist, then a guy who seemed to be the leader said: we are the escort of Mrs (I don't remember the name), and you journalists, you know very well she hates you, she hates paparazzi, so get lost before it's too late for you, got it? I was like the victim by mistake in the middle of a surrealistic battle, at least it was what I was feeling at that moment. I took some steps back trying to explain to them that I just wanted to take a photo of the building in front of us, for the needs of a project about the modern architecture of Athens center but nothing, they became more aggressive and I was about to leave the area when somebody cried back to them: The lady comes out! In your cars quickly! My guys turned their backs and ran into two cars parked a little further. I saw a blond lady come out of an old building's door, enter a luxury jeep and disappear quickly with her escort on the turn of the road. I took a deep breath and went back to the spot I had chosen for the photo. Well, here it is! The photography and its story! I hope you like both! Have a nice Wednesday!!!
