Typhoon Ompong brought havoc alright, though its' aftermath was as calm and sunny. Everywhere I've looked has shown destruction on its' path. That and resiliency.
This Makopa tree have always stood tall in our backyard, first against a fire that demolished 2 houses years ago, leaving a huge gaping hole throughout her main trunk, showing just its' skeleton. Now, after this 250kph wind, it remains standing, tall and resilient.

Friend @immarojas, the important thing is that tin well, the material damages are recovered little by little with the help of God. Perhaps Typhoon Ompong, is a teaching to grow and learn new things and be stronger and be like the tree that has endured everything. A hug.

You're probably right. Asia as the most recipient of typhoons and stuff has grown resilient in every storm, tsunami, tornado.
The Philippines' new government is more pro-poor than the previous one so we are hopeful that there's help where it needs to come from...our very own government.

There was a meet-up last Friday @immarojas but it was in the evening so I couldn't go. The one before was in the evening too and they are now in East London which takes a lot longer to get to.
So, if they stay like that, I won't be able to go anymore. 😢

Brighton is about 50 minutes by train from London @immarojas.
There has been much talk about organising one here but we've not managed it so far.
I'm OK about it. I've got used to not being able to go now.
