The Sedona area is full of lovely landscapes. This location is between Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek. It is National Forest land and that is why you don't see houses in the picture. I am posting this image which shows the majesty our planet earth in celebration of the spring equinox.

Very much so. That has always been the case. As a kid, I was hooked on books that were illustrated by Brian Wildsmith. Perhaps you know his work.
The thing that's funny about this now is that my husband only likes shades of white or variations thereof. I'm sure you can imagine our conversations at Home Depot when it's time to paint one of the rooms in our house :)

No I am not familiar Brian Wildsmith but when it comes to paint when you add white to any color it just makes it softer and lighter. Actually when paint is mixed color is added to a gradient relative white base.

You're photographs are all so beautiful Mr Irvine. You are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful and scenic part of the world and I aporeciate your efforts to bring us all these wonderful images.
I've actually wanted to ask you something for a little while now but haven't found time til now. I intend to start posting regularly on steemit again and would like some beautiful images to compliment my posts. I was wondering if it would be at all possible for me to use some of yours. I would of course credit you every time I use on of your photos in a post. Right, I took a black and white photography course in high school. We were the only HS in SD to have a dark room. Then I took digital photography, so we covered those concepts. Out in the Black Hills, you can achieve this kind of effect too. So if you are ever in SD, I recommend west river for some excellent shots of the Black Hills and Badlands.
