The transience of time

in photography •  6 years ago  (edited)

First of all, I invite you to look at the time on your watch, before you start reading this post ...

Presentación.jpg

I have brought this topic that is quite interesting, we will talk a little about the transience of time and the remarkable rhythms of life.

I have to warn you that this topic is quite broad and expands if we analyze it a little more ...

Through the experience of man in almost all aspects of the world and the universe he inhabits, runs that fleeting and elusive entity that we call time. The clock is the representative of the sun and the stars that tells the individual that it is time to get up, time to go to school or work, time to put or take food out of the oven, time to go to sleep or time to upload a publication to Steemit.

We all know how to organize thanks to time, even when embarking on a trip we compare schedules of buses, trains or planes with our clock, depending on our route or destination; time not only conducts man's activities, but his very being as every living organism exists through the grace of thousands of synchronized rhythms. Your pulse beats quiet or agitated; the electrical waves of your brain adjust your rhythm to sleep or wakefulness, the pregnancy "takes time" of gestation to then go into labor. in short there is much related.

Far beyond man, also other species or living beings are governed by "biological time"; such as animals and plants, as well as minerals and precious stones. in this case I will talk about a plant called "Bella at eleven o'clock" (Portulaca glandiflora), this is how it is known in my country (Venezuela) that during the day its flowers always open at the same time.

The time that gives continuity and order, is also cause of decomposition and death. This is what happens with this plant that I mentioned earlier, it is magnificent at dawn, a beautiful button springs up to then open a beautiful flower, which with the passing of the hours is fading.

In this photograph you can see how the little button is in its process of opening to the flower. an HP DSCCB350 camera was used, its focal point was: F / 3, its exposure time was 1 / 30s, ISO was: 400 The focal length of 6 mm, with an automatic white balance

In this image you can already see the flower at its best. The same camera was used with a lower ISO ISO 100, its exposure time was 1 / 60s

Separdor.png

In this image we observe the most splendid and colorful flower. Its ISO was 50, exposure time of 1 / 60s

Man and other species live the time that is intended for them. the eternal hills were not there a hundred million years ago, and in a hundred million years they will have disappeared; Even the stars change over the centuries, and sooner or later they will go out ...

Of the great abstractions of science, it is time (not space, nor force, nor matter) of what we most constantly mention; he is a great teacher, excellent medicine (they say that time heals everything), he who justifies everything and equals it; it stops, it goes away or it flies by. we can save it or lose it, spend it or waste it (time is money!), we can even beat it or kill it. what we can not (strange thing) is really define it.

In short, time is relative as many claim ...

So look at your watch again and you will notice how fleeting this little publication has been and how widespread and interesting the subject is.

With this I say goodbye to my readers, it will be a new opportunity, we will read in the next publications. Thanks for reading and appreciating my photographs.

This publication is based on studies and concluded analyzes, citing TIME-LIFE's scientific collection. The appreciated photographs are of my authorship.
