On the west coast, some of the world's most famous beaches, such as Porto Katsiki, appreciated for the very fine white emerald and white sand, but also the beaches of Kathsima and Egremni. Egremni is now just a reminder of the earthquake of 2015, but the other beaches are waiting for their visitors . Porto Katsiki is a sandy beach surrounded by vertical rocks and is among the most popular ten beaches in the world. Milos beach

Although it is located two of the most famous beaches on the island of Lefkada (Agios Nikitas and Kathisma), Milos is not very frequented by tourists, perhaps because of the access road, the impassive footpath and stairs, the unfinished beach

Agiofili beach

From Vasiliki you can reach Agiofili beach either on foot (25 minutes) or by boat from the port.
Agiofili is a small beach with crystal clear water and rather crowded because of its small size.
Do not forget your snorkeling glasses if you want to interact with the fish!
If you have time it would be a shame not to do the cruise one day from Nidri.

Fiskardo, Kefalonia Island - the next stop was the largest island in the Ionian Sea, offering plenty of beautiful scenery, sandy beaches, impressive caves, traditional villages, etc. Here you have 1h for a walk in the only village that was not affected by the 1953 earthquake - Fiskardo - the most traditional place on the island.
Frikes, Ithaca Island - a perfect destination for peaceful vacations, exciting tours and explorations. In Ithaca everything is small, fact confirmed by the harbor where we stopped for lunch. The mountains and the sea combine harmoniously and create splendid landscapes, complemented by small villages with traditional houses.

Papanikolis Cave, Meganisi Island - The vessel entered the cave that was used as a hiding place by Latridis, captain of the Papanikolis submarine, in the Second World War. I had some emotions not to hit a rock, but the skill of the captain was noticed. From what I saw there were other vessels with the same route, but they did not enter the cave.

It was a very pleasant day in which I admired a small part of the beauties of Greece.
