How does the cell divide? Fluorescence microscopy

This is one of the most widespread processes on our planet. Yet, cell division is hidden for most of the world. Fortunately, modern microscopic techniques can show cell division.

Proteins and chromosomes are labeled with fluorescent dyes that shine sharply. The other parts of the cell are not visible.
