Cold & Miserable

We have had no lasting snow yet despite the early September weather, but it has generally been cold. Pictured above is the frost on the trees earlier today. The ground is covered with larch needles like a giant ginger cat has been shedding everywhere. It looks pretty, but I hate the cold.

November is a rough month for me. Pain from old back injuries flares up even more as temperatures plummet. This throws off my sleep. On top of that, the return to standard time exacerbates the effect of Seasonal Affective Disorder brought on by decreasing daylight in winter. And the constant struggle to find food I can eat with my food allergies is a perpetual chore.

As a result, I haven't been posting much here, as you may have noticed. I have notes for posts I want to write, but it takes everything I have in the gas tank to handle my library job. I bought a secondhand copy of Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for Xbox 360, and I have been retreating to the ruins of Washington, D.C. to kill supermutants and raiders as a way to escape seasonal misery. Perhaps I'll write a retro review at some point, too.

Time to call it a night and play some D&D, now.

Get those notes going and put those posts out! Have fun at DnD, I myself am more of a MTG player though :)

I play D&D, MTG, 40K, and many other money pit hobbies. I may need to rob a bank to fund my addictions.
