After the snow fell

It was hard to tell
Where I had once been

Our past delays
Our future days
We come and go in the wind

The loyal friend
Leaving a trace
Found me once again

We turned and we fought
Our way back and I thought
How nice the ice now is

Footprints frozen in time
Left by my canine
Saved me once again

These tracks are his
His and mine
Bringing me back where we once began
