I have to say that places like this always entice me. There is an energy about them which I cannot quite put into words... I suppose it probably has something to do with how deeply rich in history they are.

    You are right. Indeed, they have a lot of history, a lot of tradition and a lot of legend associated with them, in addition to having a unique beauty. These gargoyles, in particular, are located in a city with a thousand-year history: Toledo. They belong to one of the last constructions of a style, the Gothic, which began to decline in the 15th century, although, nevertheless, doing so with the same glorious elaboration with which it had begun.
