Animal Portrait Photography

Here's a picture I took of a large brown hen enjoying the compost pile. My friend has a neighbor with a flock of free-range chickens. They are constantly traveling over into his yard to peck at the bugs in his compost pile. I think it's awesome to have your own chickens, receiving fresh eggs every morning and being a bit more self-sustainable. I am currently working on purchasing a house to live in a very small farm town. I definitely love the rural lifestyle, and hope to get some backyard poultry for myself someday!
