Criticisms are inevitable. Most of the time, they do pierce through you. But I agree that it help you improve you in whatever field/topic you're into. It just a matter of how you take the criticisms. Practice will may you perfect your craft but some are born with the natural talent which I truly wish I have.

I agree to @foxfire that it's a pitfall and i fell into the trap.

Well i guess what really matters is that you are happy and satisfied with the output of your works.
