This afternoon, I was able to capture macro photography shots of tadpoles swimming around in a creek. It is a common occurrence to see tadpoles in Florida, with the vast amount of creeks, rivers, waterways and stagnant pools of rain water. All shots were taken using a Canon 80D camera, with my new 70 - 300mm lens.
The next set of shots is of tadpoles fighting over a piece of food that somehow ended up in the creek. I spotted six tadpoles in this particular area feeding on the scraps, but there were plenty more swimming around.
It is pretty cool to see life that early in it's process. One day these tadpoles will be full grown frogs. Based off their coloring and the commonality of a particular frog in the area, I believe these tadpoles to be future Cuban Tree Frogs.
