One of the most interesting sites I have visited and captured photos of is the Ford's Theatre Museum in Washington D.C.

Ford's Theatre is the site of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. He was killed by John Wilkes Booth.

Below the theatre is the museum. One of the pieces of memorabilia in the museum is the gun used by Booth to kill Lincoln.

Also in the museum is a timeline of the last days of both Booth and Lincoln.

One of the most off-putting pieces is a frame detailing Lincoln's last speech he gave on April 11. Lincoln stated in his speech how unsatisfactory the treatment of blacks was, to which Booth replied, "That's the last speech he'll ever make." Sadly, Booth killed Lincoln three days later.

Sadly, Lincoln is not the only U.S. President to be assassinated. John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963.

If you ever get a chance to go to Washington D.C., make sure you stop by and see this part of history.

It is sad to think that such a small object could take down such a tall man.

I agree 100%.
