This afternoon I was able to capture some shots of a butterfly that floated in and rested on a leaf as the afternoon sun shined down on it. These shots were taken using a Canon 80D camera with a 75 - 300 mm lens.
Even as I encroached on the butterfly's personal space, it sat completely still. Sometimes nature rewards you with perfect photography opportunities when you least expect it.

It is not always easy to take a close-up of an insect . If I want to take a picture , they always move.
