Photographer Simon Aslund "night" series.
The dark night is dotted with lights, passers-by, telling a different story from the hustle and bustle of the day
The night is one of the most inspiring times to shoot, as we've seen in many of the most impressive images we've taken before. The "night" series brings inspiration to everyone looking for their own vision of the night.Simon Aslund takes us on some of the most enchanting night walks, capturing scenes of mood, color and atmosphere.
Between 2017 and 2018, the stockholm-based photographer and graphic designer traveled around the city and dalarna province, shooting A series of nighttime photos with fujifilm X100F digital cameras and Canon a-1 cameras. Here, we see all kinds of urban scenes, but all of them are enveloped by a mysterious cinematic atmosphere that is formed at night.City lights of various colors light up the scene, becoming especially dreamy as the fog increases.
It's not that different from What we see in Mark Broyer's "After Dark" and "What the Fog" series.Instead of exposing the other side of a city, however, "Night Series" adds a lone character to many of the photos, as if to complete a story set in the Night.
